In the night I had a dream
Where I was given leaves for fingers
And my feet became like knotted roots

I had gnarled bark for skin
And I felt something nestled in
My branches glimmer in the morning dew

Spring began to come and pass
My precious jewel growing fast
I fed her vital spirit through my vines

The sun ascended the horizon
I could sense my fruit had ripened
Laid my eyes on her for the first time

I saw her bathed in golden light
Willow bough curtains draped around
Her frame
With lilac fountains bursting forth
The Green Witch begins to take form
In my arms

I took the shape of brother stag
My coat was thick my antlers massive
My hind legs propelled me with such might

As I hurdles through the woods
The earth so good beneath my hooves
Master of the forest in my prime

Suddenly I came upon
A tranquil, crystal clear pond
And thought to fall asleep there for a while

When my tired eyes awoke
She appeared before me and spoke
She told me she would never leave my side
